There aren’t many things I will wear to death, but when I do find something I really, really like then I will wear it until it falls to pieces! These black suede Ash Jalouse boots, which I have mentioned far too many times to remember, haven’t left my feet since I got them. They are the perfect heel high to be both comfortable and a little dressy and really do go with everything. As I love these so much and have really not been kind to them I also got a pair of the Ash Jess boots in a soft grey-brown, but I am trying to save those until the weather is a bit more friendly. I took my Jalouse to the cobbler for a re-heel and he also gave me some black suede dye so I can try to revive the colour – will let you know how that goes.

Just a couple of Instagram snaps of my favorite outfits lately – I do have some none iPhone photos to post soon and thanks again for bearing with me through this whole hacking nightmare. The blog will be back with a bang in the new year.
I know I joke about ‘blogger items’, you’ve all seen it, the same items which keep cropping up on everyone’s blog. These Ash Jalouse boots are one of them, I can’t tell you how many outfit posts, reviews and posts raving about them I’ve seen. I was looking for an easy to wear pair of black boots to wear this winter and kept coming back to the Jalouse. They came, I wore them and I basically haven’t stopped wearing them for two months straight! Now I can clearly see why so many people rave about them, they really are perfect. Perfect heel height, impossibly comfy, go with everything. What more can I say? I am obsessed with them, so obsessed I’m currently plotting getting a back-up pair for when these wear out. They come in a few different colour ways, these are the distressed black suede. I have mostly been wearing them with jeans and jumpers but they look amazing with dresses and even dungarees. As they are quite low cut I think they would work well as summer boots too – yeah totally trying to justify that second pair…
There is a new trend emerging, one I certainly wasn’t expecting to see – trainers! Or sneakers for our US readers. But these aren’t your ordinary trainers, these are fashion trainers! Starting on the runway of D&G and Isabel Marant a trend for stacked, chunky wedge heels on trainers emerged. Fusing together style and comfort is something I am always glad to see and any shoe that adds an inch or two is welcome with me. Ash has the best selection I have found, from Converse style baseball boots to more edgy boots styles. I think these would be a great alternative to a winter boot and work perfectly with anything from jeans to dresses. With the London 2012 Olympics playing a huge influence over S/S12 runway collections too, sportswear is a trend that isn’t going away anytime soon. The only question left is which pair would you go for?
